Be a Giver

Integral Thread has been donating to Denver Human Services’ Give Center for several years. We found the organization when we went in search of ways to help within our local community. We take part in the School Supply Drive each year and are now taking part in the other seasonal drives they hold. This organization helps children and adults that are fighting financial hardship and homelessness. There are so many ways to help those in need right here in Denver, and it fills our hearts with joy to be able to contribute to what this incredible organization is doing. Nivas nepal nonprofit NIVAS nepal nonprofit logo

NIVAS

Nivas is an incredible organization that Integral Thread met through the showroom and design community. Lindsey Kruger is their visionary, and fate would have it that she stumbled into our showroom looking for rugs for an interior design project, but our conversation quickly turned into a non-profit discussion. Their mission is “Safe Shelter is a catalyst.” Lindsey founded Nivas after working in Solukhumbu and Dhading districts of Nepal where she saw first-hand what folks in under-served communities need most. Utilizing her career in architecture/design and a Masters of Development Practice, she seeks to aid marginalized families in their quest toward safety and empowerment. With our deep connection to Nepal in our weaving communities and our desire to give back, we were thrilled to get more involved with Lindsey’s organization and spread the word about the great work they are doing. You can get involved in several ways from a simple donation, to sponsoring a family or even joining the team. Click below to learn more and get involved!

Stephanie and uncle rob Glioblastoma foundation logo

The Glioblastoma Foundation

Integral Thread began their involvement with The Glioblastoma Foundation after Stephanie & Stacie’s close uncle was taken all too soon from this aggressive brain cancer. They wanted to find a way to help and honor their Uncle Rob’s name, so they got in touch to see how they could help. The purpose of Glioblastoma Foundation is to transform the standard of care by supporting the development of drug therapies for glioblastoma. The research they support will transform glioblastoma therapy and prolong the lives of glioblastoma patients. Integral Thread was supposed to host a 2020 Gala, but unfortunately it has been postponed until the Pandemic subsides. Until then, click below to learn more and donate to this fantastic charity.

STEP by Knots Rugs

Knots Rugs is one of our amazing curated rug collections, and one of the reasons we love working with them is their involvement in the STEP fair trade certification program which supports and promotes weavers and workers wellbeing. As a Certified Label STEP Fair Trade Partner, all rugs are manufactured at production sites that commit to the industry's most comprehensive social and environmental standards, including the prohibition of child labor, the monitoring of working conditions, fair wages and eco-friendly production. STEP actively supports producer improvements while empowering weavers and workers through educational programs covering health and safety and financial literacy. For many years, Knots Rugs' local manufacturer in Nepal hosted a STEP operated child daycare center, providing all facilities and utilities free of cost. You can learn more about the STEP organization below.
